The ManSafe Sealed Self-Retracting Lifeline (SRL) offers a dependable means of fall protection and has been specifically designed for use in harsh environments such as oil rigs, wind turbines and other offshore applications. Type 1 is a normal SRL and is recommended to be used from a fixed stable platform. The Type 2 SRL has been specifically designed to increase the required activation speed, taking into account a nominal level of movement due to the actions of ocean swell. However, the INS for transfer has to be followed.
The ManSafe Sealed SRL is built with stronger and better components that extends its lifetime, the unit can be serviced on-site by trained and competent individuals. The unit can stay on the WTG for 20 years, as long as it is serviced in accordance with local legislation.
